Empi (sometimes called Enpi) means the Flying Swallow. kata Shorin it learned in Tomari (until the Meiji Restoration, distributed to Shuri and Naha). This kata was formerly known as Wansu or Wanshu (After an expert Chinese martial arts came to Okinawa). name this kata is changed by Gichin Funakoshi.
